Dr. Bryan P. Rasmussen, Ph.D., P.E.
Leland T. Jordon Professor II
Director, Texas A&M Industrial Training and Assessment Center

Dr. Bryan Rasmussen is the Leland T. Jordan Professor II of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. He received his B.S. degree from Utah State University in 2000, followed by M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2002 and 2005.
His research focuses on intelligent building and industrial energy systems. He is also the director of the Texas A&M Industrial Training and Assessment Center, a US Dept. of Energy program that trains students to conduct energy assessments for industrial manufacturing facilities. He was awarded the NSF CAREER and the ASHRAE Young Investigator awards for research, and is the recipient of various teaching awards. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas.

Dr. Matt Elliott is an Instructional Associate Professor in the mechanical engineering department at Texas A&M. He holds a PhD in mechanical engineering from A&M and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas.
With a decade of industry experience, Dr. Matt Elliott excels as a design engineer and project manager, specializing in the offshore oil and gas sector. He served as a senior engineer and equity partner for a small engineering company, leading to a successful sale to a private equity firm. Currently, he operates as the principal of a registered engineering LLC, offering expert witness services, intricate machinery designs, and comprehensive engineering consulting.

Mahmoud Abido, Ph.D.

Mahmoud Abido, Ph.D., is a highly accomplished researcher and educator specializing in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, recently completing his doctorate at the University of California Merced. With a strong academic foundation from Cairo University, where he excelled in his Bachelor’s and Master’s programs, Mahmoud’s research has significantly contributed to sustainable energy solutions, particularly in Long Duration Energy Storage and solar thermal systems. Beyond his research, he is a passionate educator with over seven years of teaching experience and a deep commitment to community engagement, including his role as chair of the English Learner Advisory Committee at Fremont Elementary School. Mahmoud’s blend of academic excellence, research leadership, and community involvement makes him a dynamic force in his field, poised to inspire future generations.

Adarsh Kumar
Data Management Student Assistant
As a Data Science graduate student at Texas A&M University, Adarsh Kumar oversees data management and system organization to maintain accuracy and efficiency in internal operations. In addition to ensuring data integrity, he plays a key role in managing the website, handling tasks such as regular maintenance, feature updates, UI/UX improvements, and performance enhancements to optimize both functionality and user experience.
