DOE announces $7.3M for Small and Medium-sized Manufacturers
The Biden-Harris Administration announced over $7.3 million to help 37 small- and medium-sized manufacturers improve energy efficiency, lower costs, and reduce emissions. Supported by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, this funding will create good-paying jobs, support disadvantaged communities, and advance the goal of a net-zero economy by 2050.

Texas A&M Heeds Gov. Abbott’s Call for Space Engineering Degree
Dr. Robert H. Bishop, the new Dean of Texas A&M’s College of Engineering, announced plans for a Space Engineering degree program to position the university as a national leader in space exploration. With support from Governor Greg Abbott and other state leaders, the program aims to prepare students for pioneering roles in the space industry. Leveraging existing expertise and resources, including the Texas A&M Space Institute and a planned $200 million facility, the university seeks to advance space-related research and education. Pending approval, the degree program could launch by fall 2025.

Texas A&M awarded $3.75M from DOE to train clean energy workforce
Texas A&M University’s Gulf Coast Regional Center of Excellence was awarded $3.75 million from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) as part of the Industrial Training and Assessment Center (ITAC) Program.
